Lecturer (Early College Health Information Management), Spring 2025

Salary Information: Minimum for Academic Year 2024-2025, $1,911 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.

Other Conditions:

  • For lecturer applicant pool, part-time, pending availability of funds and actual staffing requirements.
  • Must be available to teach courses online and in person, either during the day, evening, or weekend.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Teach assigned courses in Health Information Management (HIM).
  2. Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
  3. Prepare course syllabi and reports related to teaching and student progress.
  4. Work under supervision of the HIM Program Director and division chair in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in the discipline area.
  5. As needed, work with multi-media presentation, distance education instruction, and teaching at off-campus sites.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Master’s degree in relevant discipline or experience as a lecturer in Health Information Management.
  2. Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.

Desirable Qualifications

  1. College teaching experience.
  2. Online teaching experience.
  3. Experience teaching pathophysiology, pharmacology, medical terminology & other HIM foundational courses.
