We are seeking a Lecturer in Audio Engineering who is not only adept in the technical aspects of digital audio but is passionate about joining a dynamic team committed to continuing our legacy of nurturing and developing the next generation of industry leaders.As a Lecturer in Audio Engineering, your appreciation of sound and expertise in digital audio will drive the delivery of a dynamic curriculum. You will lead and help progress key industry aligned modules that continue to influence the future of the digital audio industry. Utilising your experience and expertise, you will integrate the latest technological advancements into your teaching, helping to keep our students at the cutting edge. With responsibilities that extend beyond traditional teaching, you will inspire, guide and mentor students to create meaningful opportunities for their academic and professional growth, as well as contributing to the wider community and growth of the course.Collaboration lies at the heart of this role. You will work alongside a team of dedicated educators and researchers, contributing to the vibrant academic community at Birmingham City University. You will be involved with or display relevant knowledge of the industry and its wider community. You will exhibit expertise in key areas such as digital audio theory, software design and applied machine learning, with desirable knowledge in areas such as, acoustics, and audio electronics. Candidates should hold, or be near completion of, a PhD in one of these areas or possess and be able to substantiate equivalent industry experience.
