Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto)Description:The Department of Medicine at St. Michael’s Hospital, in conjunction with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, is seeking two qualified full-time academic Rheumatologists. The candidate will have an academic position description of Clinician Teacher (CT) or Clinician in Quality and Innovation (CQI) and must be eligible for a Full-time Clinical Academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto. The expected start date of the position is July 1, 2025, or shortly before or thereafter.The successful candidate will hold an MD degree and should have, or be eligible for, certification in Rheumatology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). The position requires a dedicated, accomplished general rheumatologist whose clinical and scholarly areas of interest/expertise align with the divisional requirements. The candidate is expected to provide excellent clinical care in the outpatient setting and the inpatient consultation service, and contribute to rheumatology on-call coverage. The candidate will be engaged in rheumatology educational programs and learner supervision at all levels at St. Michael’s Hospital and the University of Toronto as well as lead or collaborate in clinical research and quality improvement programs. The successful candidate will also have or be working towards a graduate degree or other advanced training relevant to their area of specialization. The successful candidate should have a proven academic record of excellence in education or quality improvement.
