Legal Assistant / Legal SecretaryWorthing – West SussexA well-regarded legal practice is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary to join its busy residential conveyancing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in conveyancing who enjoys working in a collaborative and client-focused environment.The Role:You will provide comprehensive support to fee earners and play a key role in progressing residential property transactions. Responsibilities include:

• Opening new files using the case management system (training available)
• Conducting identity checks and land registry searches
• Submitting land registry applications and SDLT returns
• Preparing contracts and supporting documents
• Applying for local authority searches
• Drafting financial statements
• Assisting with property completions
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, and third parties in person and by telephone

Key Skills & Experience:The ideal candidate will have:

• Prior experience as a legal assistant/secretary in residential conveyancing
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong typing abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
