<div class="isg-job-description“>Successful west side law firm is currently searching for an experienced Legal Assistant, to assist a very busy Family Law practice. This position will act as a true partner to the managing attorney, while performing legal assistant duties and possibly a few paralegal functions.  We are searching for a candidate with a high level of professional savvy, and one who truly enjoys client interaction!

Responsibilities include –

• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, while acting as a liaison between clients and attorneys.
• Draft and disseminate various documents, including court documents, correspondence, discoveries, motions, complaints, notes and discussions with attorneys.
• Prepare client agreements, engagement letters and closing documents.
• Organize and maintain client files, both physical and electronic.
• File documents with the court system, schedule hearings, and maintain interaction with courts.
• Act as backup to answering phones, prepare and distribute mail, greet clients and special projects as assigned.

Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, 4+ years’ experience in family law, a positive and engaging personality, and strong work ethic. 
Must have exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and be an independent thinker and self-starter.  Excellent oral and written communication skills, advanced Microsoft Office skills, and experience with case management systems.
