The firm offers a comprehensive range of first-class legal services for individuals, families, and businesses.Role Overview:Our client is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join their Commercial Property, Land & Development team. This role involves providing high-quality support to a Partner, enabling them to focus on complex legal matters. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of building strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to a Partner within the Commercial Property team.
- Manage client matters, including drafting legal documents under guidance.
- Prepare files for billing and completion.
- Screen incoming calls and manage correspondence.
- Handle digital dictations and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Deliver professional, efficient, and friendly service to clients, recognising the nuances of sensitive processes.
- Commit to the firm’s standards, including LEXCEL & Investors in People, and understand the requirements of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Solid experience in legal work; the role may occasionally require paralegal-level tasks, though it is not fee-earning.
- Ability to remain calm, polite, and focused in various situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
- Background in property legal work, including residential conveyancing and/or land & development.
- Previous experience in a busy property legal team.
