As a Legal Assistant, your responsibilities will include supporting the lawyers in their practice.Your duties will include, among others:
- Prepare and assist Legal Professionals in the drafting of pleadings, collective agreements, schedules and revision of legal documents;
- Manage professionals’ agendas;
- Communicate with case workers;
- Coordinate and organize meeting and travel logistics;
- Revise and update documents and correspondence;
- Open, monitor, file on paper and electronically, and close files.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Diploma of Collegial Studies in Office Technology with Legal specialization or any other relevant of experience/schooling;
- Experience as a Legal Assistant;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
- Fluency in spoken and written French;
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage priorities;
- Autonomy, thoroughness and attention to detail;
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to manage several files.
