Job description
As a Legal Counsel, you will play a vital role in providing legal guidance and support to the company. You will ensure contract compliance with applicable laws and regulations, mitigate legal risks, and facilitate business transactions. Your expertise in different US and/or EU laws (UK, Dutch, German, Spanish) will be instrumental in protecting our company’s interests and helping other stakeholders to make informed decisions.
- Provide accurate and timely legal advice and guidance to the employees on various legal matters, including but not limited to contracts, employment law, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. Analyze complex legal issues and propose practical solutions that align with business objectives.
- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, client contracts, employment agreements, and licensing agreements.
Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance. Develop and implement compliance programs, policies, and procedures. Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential legal and regulatory risks associated with commercial transactions and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate them.Collaborate with external counsel, when necessary, to manage litigation and disputes involving the company.Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees to enhance legal awareness and promote compliance with legal and ethical standards. Develop and deliver educational materials on relevant legal topics to facilitate understanding across the organization.Work closely with internal sales, marketing, operations, and product development teams to align legal initiatives with business goals.Strong knowledge of US/EU commercial law, including contract law, employment law, intellectual property, data privacy, and corporate law.Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts.Experience with international contracts and cross-border transactions.Proven experience as a legal counsel or attorney with at least 5 (five) years of relevant experience, preferably in an international law firm, corporate and/or business environment.Ability to adapt to the fast-paced and evolving nature of the tech industry.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.About UsPVcase and Anderson Optimization, united in our mission, are focused on building advanced solar design and site selection solutions while fighting climate change through software.
