Job description
Wide-ranging in-house legal role within an established team of a well-known brand within the rail sector.Key areas of work will include:
- Structuring, drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide range of commercial agreements with, amongst others, train operating companies, manufacturers, heavy maintenance suppliers and engineering consultancies;
- Providing pro-active and re-active legal advice to all business areas in connection with projects relating to, amongst others, the procurement, maintenance, operation, refurbishment, insurance, leasing, sale and disposal of rolling stock;
- Providing legal support on diversification and growth opportunities for the business;
- Advising on a wide range of legal issues including, amongst others, commercial contracts, regulatory, public procurement, IPR, health and safety, corporate and competition law issues;
- Liaising with and assisting at all times other members of the Legal Team to ensure adequate information sharing and the provision by the Legal Team of efficient and pragmatic legal advice;
- If applicable, advising on asset financing and banking matters pertaining to the debt and security structure of the group.

- be a lawyer, qualified in the UK or another Common Law jurisdiction.
- be likely to have circa 3 years of PQE
- have commercial contracts experience (including procurement)
