We are looking for a skilled Legal Secretary to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Toronto, Ontario. The ideal candidate will excel in providing comprehensive administrative support, managing legal documentation, and ensuring critical deadlines are met. • Prepare and draft legal correspondence, pleadings, and other documentation with accuracy and efficiency.

• Manage and maintain calendars, including scheduling appointments and tracking critical deadlines.

• Oversee financial tracking and accruals to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.

• Utilize case management software and tools such as Aderant and CompuLaw to streamline legal processes.

• Perform document scanning, photocopying, and other administrative tasks as required.

• Coordinate and manage legal filings using systems like ACRIS and Adobe Acrobat.

• Support litigation processes by organizing case files and maintaining up-to-date records.

• Communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and collaboration.

• Exercise sound judgment in handling confidential information and prioritizing tasks.

• Monitor and update legal case files to ensure compliance with deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Proven experience in a legal secretary or administrative role within a legal setting.
• Proficiency in software such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and case management tools.
• Strong skills in drafting and preparing legal documentation, including pleadings and correspondence.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with calendar management and tracking deadlines in a legal context.
• Familiarity with financial tracking, accruals, and related administrative tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining a high level of discretion.
