Position Summary:

Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a Liaison Officer to coordinate with deployed State Emergency Response Team (SERT) Agency Representatives and facilitate communication and situational awareness between the SERT and local jurisdictions. The Liaison Officer will be responsible for collecting and organizing documentation, including ICS 214 forms, from deployed personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with deployed SERT Agency Representatives to maintain effective field operations
• Facilitate two-way situational awareness between SERT and counties
• Ensure consistent communication and updates between field teams and the State EOC
• Collect, organize, and submit ICS 214 forms and other documentation from deployed personnel
• Assist in tracking field activities and resource needs in coordination with other sections
• Participate in planning and coordination meetings to ensure accurate representation of field activities
• Provide regular updates to command staff on the status of field operations
• Support resolution of issues arising between state and local response efforts

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a liaison, emergency coordination, or incident command role
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiarity with ICS forms and documentation procedures (especially ICS 214)
• Ability to manage and coordinate activities in dynamic and high-pressure environments
• Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) or similar setting
• Knowledge of ICS structure, SERT operations, and mutual aid processes
• Experience working with WebEOC or other emergency management software
• Ability to work collaboratively with local, state, and federal partners

• Travel Required: Yes – up to 100% while on assignment

Working Environment:

Work is performed in Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), field locations, or remote coordination centers. Extended hours and travel may be required across the continental United States and its territories during emergency activations.
