Job Summary	The Auburn University Libraries is seeking candidates for the position of Library Technical Specialist in the Collections, Discovery, & Resource Sharing Department. Reporting to the supervisor in the Discovery Unit, this position will be responsible for cataloging and processing library resources as assigned, including monographs, e-books, audiovisual materials, and streaming media. This is a two-year limited-term appointment. Continuation of employment is contingent upon the availability of funding. Essential Functions	Adaptive and copy cataloging of monographs Assists with adaptive and copy cataloging of e-books, streaming media, and other library materials as assigned Search and retrieval of resource records in third-party databases for cataloging library resources Updates holdings in third-party databases as needed With training provided, ability to identify problems in resource records, make corrections, and request assistance when needed Participate in departmental and library meetings, including service on library committees and project teams Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications	High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of relevant experience managing and processing complex data or materials in an office setting, and familiarity with computer applications. Substitutions allowed for Experience: When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.
