Job Summary
Licensed Clinician (LCSW/LPC) to ride a Grady EMS truck with a Paramedic as a team to respond to Psychiatric calls to 911.
Provides the following services for individuals with Mental Illness and Addictive Disease: Crisis Intervention; Suicide Risk Assessment; community linkage. The primary objective of this position is to assess individuals in a psychiatric crisis and assure they have the resources needed and divert them to community care. Will work at the top of their licensure limit to determine risk, diagnosis and disposition of each patient they respond to. Responsible for assessing for and completing Form 1013.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in Counseling or Behavioral Sciences is required.
- Three (3) or more years of experience, preferably in Crisis assessment.
- Must have full licensure in LPC or LCSW in the state of Georgia. Candidates transferring from another state must obtain Georgia license prior to hire date.
- Preferred experience with assessing SPMI population,evaluating substance misuse disorders, crisis interventionand suicide risk assessments.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association is required.
