Licensed Mental Health Professional – Baton Rouge, LA

• Required: Active licensure as an LPC or LCSW.
• Master’s degree in human services or a related field.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience working with adults experiencing mental illness.
• Comprehensive knowledge of recovery principles and recovery-focused service systems.
• Possession of a valid Louisiana Driver’s License and compliance with all necessary state and federal clearances.

We’re supporting an established program in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and are seeking a Mental Health Outpatient Counselor to contribute to its continued growth and success. At Merakey, we take a whole-person approach-integrating behavioral and physical health-to support overall wellness. Our collaborative, interdisciplinary team provides compassionate, evidence-based care in an inclusive environment. This role is ideal for a professional passionate about holistic care, bridging mental and physical health, and working within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation: $36.06 per hour

Location: 711 Colonial Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70806

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify mental health needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based approaches
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy in an outpatient setting
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with standards
• Offer crisis intervention and support as needed
