Your Opportunity:Consort Hospital & Care Center is located in a rural setting where the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works within an interdisciplinary team environment to provide client centered care. Consort is a combined Community Support and Long Term Care facility with an Emergency Room department. The Licensed Practical Nurse will be required to provide skills, knowledge and care in all 3 areas under the direct supervision and mentoring of the Charge Registered Nurse. Consort is a vibrant, rural community with friendly people and a lower cost of living than major centres. It’s a great place to raise a family with amenities available that include a local Kindergarten to Grade 12 School, Adult Learning Centre, and Public Library with a variety of arts and cultural clubs and activities. Also known as the Village of Opportunity, Consort has plenty of trails nearby to enjoy your favorite outdoor activity while the Consort Sportex provides space for hockey, family skating, swimming lessons, and more.Description:As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:As Required. Preferred Qualifications:Emergency Room and Long Term Care experience is considered an asset.
