Location : Coralville, IA 52241
Duration : 03 Months to Long-Term
Shift : 10:00PM-6:00AM M-F (Every other weekend)
Role & Responsibilities:

• Direct Patient Care: LPNs provide basic nursing care to inmates, including taking vital signs, wound care, and assisting with daily living activities.
• Medication Administration: They administer medications as prescribed, following proper dispensing and documentation procedures.
• Emergency Response: LPNs respond to medical emergencies, providing initial care and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Documentation: LPNs maintain accurate and thorough patient records, documenting medical history, medications, treatments, and responses to care.
• Collaboration: LPNs work as part of a healthcare team, collaborating with RNs, physicians, and other staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Equipment Management: They evaluate and monitor medical supplies and equipment, ensuring availability, proper storage, and functionality.
• Patient education: LPNs may educate patients on health conditions, medications, and self-care practices.
• Supervision: LPNs work under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, receiving guidance and oversight in their practice.

License and Certification:

• Active LPN License for the state of IA.
• Active BLS/CPR.
