Logistics – Intern

Objective/Purpose:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide seasonal educational, practical experience for high school graduates interested in supply chain management and quality control related fields. Qualified participants will actively engage in inspection, audit, and observational activities daily. Results will be recorded and prepared for presentation to the resident Management Team upon successful completion of the assigned duration.

Areas of Responsibility/Tasks

Quality Compliance:

Assist by observation of quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.

Perform internal quality process audits and proficiency audits.

Perform all administrative duties related to the total quality management system and ISO processes.

Filing and other clerical duties.

Provide feedback to Management on trends and repeat issues.

Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.

Shipping and Receiving:

Assist in performing quality inspection of all chassis mounted containers upon arrival at Ravago Baytown.

• Perform all activities using a company assigned tablet to complete inspection for record retention, audit, and trend evaluation.
• Capture digital images of each empty container and digitally store as instructed.
• Assist Loading Inspector in correction of issues found during the inspection process.

Provide feedback to Management on trends and repeat issues.

Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager

Operation Clean Sweep

Utilize Ravago OCS (Operation Clean Sweep) audit checklist to evaluate identified areas to ensure pellet containment.

• Identify areas of potential pellet and powder release.
• Determine the cause of resin release in identified areas.
• Provide solutions and recommendations to resolve release.

Follow up to measure progress.

Provide feedback to Management on trends and repeat issues.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma

Actively enrolled and in good standing with academic and administrative standards in an accredited University or Vocational Program

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 55 lbs.

Climb on and off equipment repeatedly

Ability to work in varying, seasonal temperatures

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, maintain balance, and kneel
