Role details:Salary: Circa £57,000 per annumHours: 37.5 per weekWorking pattern: Monday to FridayLocation: Gist Limited, Industry Road, Barnsley, S71 3LJWhat you’ll do:

• You will plan and deliver all operations transport activities through your team of Transport Shift Manager, to ensure the required level of service is provided
• Effectively motivate, manage and inspire your team to develop and grow the skills of their team
• Drive Continuous Improvement within the operation
• Provide inspirational leadership to your team and work in partnership with M&S & our customers to ensure productivity, accuracy and cost targets are met and exceeded

Who you are:

• Experience of working in a large, complex transport function – ideally within temperature controlled/FMCG distribution
• A passion for encouraging teamwork, with an innovative approach to leadership
• CPC License
• Excellent customer relationship-building skills
• Strong commercial awareness
• An analytical mindset with a good understanding of reporting and recording performance statistics
• Relevant transport management systems knowledge
• Flexibility to work within a fast-paced 24/7 business
