The Logistics Specialist develops and maintains strong customer service skills and supports OPENLANE’s transportation service. This service tracks and traces all our shipments throughout Canada for our customers. Daily duties require providing continuous accurate details on status of shipments, friendly and quality service to customers when interacting with customers via phone, text and email. Utilize effective tools and procedures to ensure workload is completed daily.Responsibilities and Duties:Track and trace the movements of all customer shipments throughout Canada on a continuous basis and manage issues as they arise.Act as a point of contact for transportation and ensure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention.Assist customers with confirming and tracking their Transportation requirement.Verify vehicle locations and delivery address prior to pick up.Run aging reports and contact sellers and buyers regarding outstanding shipments.Maintain excellent customer service, strong telephone support and ability to answer or research the answer to customer questions.Be familiar with procedures for handling all aspects of customer service.Resolve any customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner. Advise their manager or designated supervisor of all serious complaints or incidences.Assist customers in understanding the system and escalate any system issues appropriately.Practice and promote teamwork at all times. Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.Resolve any customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner.Ensure proper follow-through on all directives, bulletins, schedules and accounting from their Manager or designated supervisor or other corporate sources. Maintain a good flow of communication with their Manager or designated supervisor and other personnel.Educational Requirements and Qualifications:Previous experience with logistical administration is preferred but will consider those with strong direct customer service and administration experience.Preference will be given to those with education in logistical, finance or business but a combination of experience and training will be considered.Must have own vehicle and valid driver’s license as there is no bus service to this siteAble to work Full Time, Monday – Friday – 8:30 – 5:00 PMExcellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills with strong attention to detail is a must.Ability to maintain calm and diplomatic in dispute resolution situations is necessaryCompetent in all aspects of Google applications.Pay is $21-23 per hour depending on experience.Please note there is no bus service to the site, so applicants are required to have their own reliable transportation.We appreciate all applications, however, only those selected for interview will be contacted.Apply at https://corporate.openlane.com/careers/No phone calls please.
