Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

• $30/hr Base Rate
• Variable Shift Incentives
• W-2 Employee
• Minimum of 12 hours workedevery 90 days
• 4, 8, or 12 hour shifts available
• Flexible work throughout the community, when you are available

Overview

Are you seeking a flexible incentivized Licensed Practical Nurse position? Ability to pick up day shift OR night shift – whatever works best for you! No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement. Participation in the Gig Nursing Program requires being responsible for scheduling a minimum number of hours, being available on short notice, being flexible and subject to last minute shift cancellation. The Gig Nursing Program does not offer guaranteed shift hours and will be the first for cancellation.

Departments Utilizing GIG LPNs:

• Medical-Surgical (MS)
• Behavioral Health (BH)

Qualifications:

• Required education:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
• Licensure:
  • Is responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current compact LPN license
• Experience:
  • One year of recent bed-side LPN experience.
• Preferred Experience:
  • Epic experience
• Certifications:

• For Med Surg (MS) and Behavioral Health (BH) – BLS

• IV certification required

• Additional Certifications may be required after start
• Physical Requirements/Demands:
  • Stand/Walk most of the time on duty; significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
