Join the CentraCare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse within our Urgency Center/Urgent Care at the CentraCare Plaza!

A typical day in Urgent Care is staffed with 5 to 6 nurses and providers offering variety and a fast pace. The LPN will provide patient rooming for all types of visits, communicate results and other pertinent medical information to patients and providers, collaborate with on-site X-ray and on-site or nearby pharmacy and laboratory services, and assist in assuring the day-to-day activities of the clinic are completed timely and efficiently. In this department, the LPN will utilize a wider variety of skills than in a typical clinic including things like wound care, splinting, start IV’s, and medication administration.

Schedule:

• 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. every third Friday, Saturday, Sunday and rotating holidays

Pay and Benefits:

• Pay range $21.85 to $32.76 per hour depending on years of experience.
• $2,500 hiring bonus

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Minnesota required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy
• Ability to understand patients’ medical records, physician orders and medication orders to be communicated to the patient and staff

To be eligible for the hiring bonus you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full time or part time benefited position. Previous employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire.

Relocation assistance requirements: Must accept a position that offers benefits and may not have worked for CentraCare in the last 9 months. Must currently reside more than 50 miles away from your primary work location and relocate within 30 miles within 120 days of your start date.
