A well-established manufacturing company in Cary, IL is seeking a Tool Room Machinist to join their maintenance and engineering team.

Schedule:

2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 4:20 PM – 12:30 AM

Pay:

$33.00/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential

Assignment Type:

6-Month Contract (Temp-to-Perm)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform precision machining of parts for repair, maintenance, and construction of high-speed assembly and prototype equipment
• Operate manual tool room equipment including mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, and more
• Build and rebuild plant-related machinery to support manufacturing operations
• Troubleshoot high-speed assembly equipment and produce spare parts
• Read mechanical blueprints and produce clear, accurate sketches
• Machine parts to close tolerances (+/- .0005)
• Cut, shape, and fabricate tools
• Perform calibrations and regular maintenance of equipment
• Work with ferrous, non-ferrous, synthetic materials, and alloys

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and machining experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience with conventional tool room equipment
• Familiarity with various materials and machining techniques
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (due to export compliance regulations)
