Maintenance Helper

Shift: Afternoon
Pay Rate: $18.00

The Facilities Helper (Roof) is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance air handlers, cooling towers, pumps, etc. This position can be utilized as a developmental role to allow the selected candidate to further develop his/her mechanical aptitude in preparation for potential future advancement opportunities in the Maintenance group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on air handlers, cooling towers, pumps, etc.
2. Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions (hot and cold)
3. Perform minor facilities equipment repairs
4. Support Facilities Craft in the maintenance and repair of facilities equipment and systems
5. As a team member, follow all safety, quality, and safe quality food (SQF) rules
6. Performs other duties as directed by supervisor

Qualifications

experience:
Previous maintenance helper experience preferred but not required

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
Strong mechanical aptitude
Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Basic cutting & grinding skills

education
High School Diploma or GED required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be well organized, and be a team player.
Computer knowledge (SAP, Excel, Word)
Good oral and written skills
