Maintenance Mechanic – St Stephen, SC

JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Mechanic plays a large role in the maintenance and up of Albany International’s industrial equipment. Over time, the incumbent is trained in a variety of distinct tasks, each associated with the classification of a Maintenance Mechanic.

SAFETY AND PROCEDURES

* Follow all publicized safety policies/procedures and JIBS applicable to the job.

* Use appropriate PPE that has been identified on the Hazard Analysis for the department/role.

* Attend and participate in all safety training, safety meetings, audits and Behavior Based Safety programs assigned.

* Report all safety hazards observed. If capable, correct the safety hazard identified.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Must be able to safely operate all tools

* Must be qualified as a millwright or industrial mechanic.

* Must be familiar with or willing and able to learn operation of boilers, thermal oil heaters, air conditioning systems, and pneumatic controls.

* Must be willing to attend technical or other schools to become sufficiently proficient in all of the above areas and operations to do the tasks required.

* Able to load/unload heavy, large packages when necessary

* Operate Forklift

* Cleans up work area

* Cross-trains to other processes

Preferred Experience:

* At least 3 plus years of maintenance experience (Manufacturing)
