Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on engines, motors, conveyor systems, production machines, and facility support systems; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical and electrical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
Controls downtime by keeping an open line of communication with production workers, informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques, and working together to maintain compliance
Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, performing inventory audits as required, and notifying management of inventory management concerns.
Efficiently utilizes maintenance resources by using equipment, supplies, and time as needed to accomplish job results in a safe way.
Provides mechanical and electrical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations as stated in the employee handbook.
Contributes to team effort by effectively working with peers, production workers, and management to identify issues or opportunities for improvement, develop improvement plans with affected employees, and utilize individual’s unique skill sets to complete tasks as efficiently as possible.
Experience with Bearings, Pumps, Motors, Pulleys, and Belting
Repair and rebuild of pumps, pneumatic cylinders, and gear boxes
Lifting & Rigging of equipment and materials
Practical knowledge and experience welding, fabricating, and machining of parts
Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and HVAC systems
Familiarity with PLC’s, HMI’s, and motor controllers.
Installation and troubleshooting of electrical circuits of various voltages including relays, switches, sensors, motors, drives, safety circuitry, and data communication.
Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance
Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion
Collaborates well with others proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others
