What You’ll Do
As the Maintenance Technician, you will provide maintenance support for the plant with primary expertise in electrical and process logic controls. Works with site leaders, plant maintenance and production departments to ensure the plant operates safely and efficiently. Other duties will include:
- Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations.
- Live and foster the Dyno Nobel Corporate Values.
- Must understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures, company directives and plant policies.
- Commit to work well with plant maintenance to complete maintenance issues outside the scope of this position when needed.
- Work follow through to find the root causes using problem solving tools (5why).
- Maintain high standards of maintenance by following procedures, processes and Maintenance standard work.
- Demonstrate operating motor vehicle safely on site.
- Provide support to Production to problem solve safety issue and improve equipment related up time.
- Provide hands on involvement with assembly testing, safety reviews, and installations.
- Provide support to staff or contractors to ensure objectives are met for the site.
What We’re Looking For:
- Technical trade school or equivalent experience preferred
- 2+ years experience in maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment required
- Experience in Preventive Maintenance programs and record keeping in a CMMS (SAP) preferred
- Proficient in pneumatic troubleshooting valves, cylinders, regulators and flow controls using schematics, drawings and physical testing.
- Proficient in using PLC Software to search and follow I/O to troubleshoot in Allen-Bradley and other PLC formats.
- Proficient in electrical troubleshooting of control systems using a multi meter, drawings and schematics.
- Proficient in basic mechanical principles of gear boxes, bearings, chains and belts
- Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
