Department Overview:The Management Accounting (MA) & Management Information (MI) team sits within the ING Wholesale Bank UK Finance department.The MA/MI team is responsible forProviding business partnering support to business stakeholders (*)Maintaining the integrity of the Management Accounts.*Stakeholders include the UK Management Team (UK MT), Local Desk Heads (including Financial Markets, Lending Sector Businesses, Capital Market Advisory, Transaction Services, etc) and other Finance colleagues locally and globally.Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:The main duties of the role would be to support and help with the followingManagement Accounting – The production and control of the UK monthly Management Accounts.Responsibilities includeControl and processing of Management Accounting database (MASS)Monthly sign offs and control of Lending business results.Reporting and Analysis – Producing and presenting both defined and Ad-hoc MI reporting to stakeholdersExamples includeMonthly UK branch performance presentationClient & Sector performance analysisManagement v Financial Accounting reviewsMonthly reporting Risk Weighted Assets reporting.Presentations for UK Company Quarterly townhall meetingsPlanning – responsibility for the production of the yearly Dynamic Plan and quarterly Forecasting.Candidate ProfileQualification/EducationEssential:University graduate or part qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)Desirable:Degree in Finance/Economics or Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)Experience/KnowledgeEssential:Interest in Banking, Financial Markets and the EconomyExcel and PowerpointDesirable:1 -2 years Financial Services experience.Systems skills – VBA, PowerBI, PowerQueryPersonal CompetenciesEssential:Social skills – Ability to present information with confidence.Willingness to learn – must be able to do more mundane tasks along with the interesting aspects of the job.Desirable:Networking and relationship builder – ability to quickly form relationships with stakeholders.
