Job Description

The Communications Manager will have responsibilities across internal and external communications & marketing for Publicis Groupe and its brands. This role sits within the the Groupe Marketing & Communications department, which supports all verticials across the MENA region. 

Internal: developing and implementing internal communications strategies that promote employer brand and engage employees. 

External: supporting the Director of Corporate Communications with various marketing, PR and events initiatives that reinforce and elevate our leadership position in the market. 

Technical & Product

Internal: 

  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies and programmes for a large ogranisation
  • Manage and develop communication channels such as intranet, content management systems, internal newsletters
  • Collaborate with the Talent/Community & Engagement team to ideate employee engagement intiatives that support employer brand
  • Edit, proof or copywrite various internal communications as needed 

External Communications Responsibilities:

  • Edit, proof, write press releases, thought leadership pieces, business announcements, etc. 
  • Manage media relationships to secure/pitch favourable coverage of Groupe/agency news
  • Identify profiling and thought leadership opportunities for leadership and subject matter experts 
  • Stay on top of industry events and speaking engagements to propose Groupe/agency subject matter experts 
  • Support with the content strategy for Groupe/agency media social presence including LinkedIn 
  • Support on various industry events, sponsorships, etc.

  • Ability to understand business objectives and develop internal and external communications strategies and tactics that align with these
  • Highly organised and ability to project manage multiple projects whether internal or external
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and teams across the business, often dealing with individuals at senior levels 
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in staying on top of industry trends and competitior activities to ensure we stay ahead

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a communications/PR or related role and specific experience in internal communications for a large organisation 
  • Native or similar level of English communication/writing; Arabic fluency in writing/speaking a plus 
  • Experience in developing and implementing social media strategies
  • Experience in media relations and press management
  • Experience in writing, editing, and proofreading a variety of communications materials
  • Experience working and collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders across all levels (including C-suites)
