As aDistrict Managerfor Airgas, you will be apioneerin creating a high-performance culture rooted in safety and excellence. Your role is toadvanceour market presence bycultivating alignmentacross branches,optimizingresources, andfacilitatinga seamless experience for both our associates and our customers.

  • Empower, mentor, and supportthe sales team toadvancetoward excellent safety standards and performance milestones.

  • Providediligent P&L stewardshipfor the assigned branches and territory, ensuring long-term fiscal health.

  • Cultivateexceptional customer service and product knowledge, ensuring acollaborativeapproach to problem resolution.

  • Advocatefor safety measures through interactive meetings and byensuring alignmentwith all safety protocols.

  • Optimize profit marginsby implementing strategic plans from the Region and Area, ensuring operating expenses align withcollective growth milestonesand exceptional customer service.

  • Enhance and sustainthe selling skills and product expertise of the staff through continuous learning.

  • Foster professional growthand provideproactive guidanceon company policies and customer service excellence.

  • Partner withthe Branch Manager in the hiring, training, and holistic management of employees.

  • Supportoutside sales representatives by preparing insightful sales data and providing thoughtful forecasts for leadership.

  • Coordinatepaperwork, inventory, pricing, and profitability to ensure operational health.

  • Facilitatepersonnel matters and ensure facility upkeep to provide a welcoming and safe environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degreeor equivalent professional experience (ideally 7+ years in a relevant field).

  • Ademonstrated historyofadvancing sustainable sales successand profitable growth.

  • Aproven historyof increasing responsibility in a business-to-business sales-related or sales operations position. This includes prior experiencementoring a teamandstewardship of a P&L(or comparable experience within the distribution industry involving gases and welding supplies).

  • A proactive approach to leadership, with a history ofsupporting and mentoring teamsfor at least 3 years.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus onbuilding alignmentand staying organized.

  • Comfortable with Microsoft solutions, particularly Excel and Word, and experienced in data entry and order extraction.

  • Numerical proficiencyfor practical business applications and analytical reporting.

  • Resilience and adaptabilityto work independently and maintain focus in a dynamic environment.

  • The ability to foster understandingwhile interacting with diverse teams and personalities.

  • Deeply comfortablewith business and accounting concepts including, but not limited to, Return on Investment (ROI), Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, interest and leasing calculations, and margin responsibilities

  • Physical capabilityto lift 25-75 lbs. as needed to support operations.

  • A valid driver’s licenseand an insured personal vehicle.

  • Comfortable workingin a drug-free environment.

  • Flexibilityto adjust your schedule to meet the needs of our customers and the management team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A history ofadvancing sales growthand achieving consistent year-over-year progress.

  • Experience in the Industrial Gas industry and/or welding is avaluable contribution.

  • Experience in sales team managementwith a focus on sustainable growth.

  • Public speaking capabilitiesto represent the brand with confidence.

  • A natural ability to prioritize and multitaskeffectively.

  • SAPexperience preferred.
