Overview

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking an Information Technology / Operational Technology Manager to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).

The Information Technology (IT) / Operational Technology (OT) Manager will provide software and business application support, cyber security services, process control, and information technology deliverables in support of SRMC facilities, projects, and customer support. The primary focus is to enable Operations to control facilities safely and efficiently using software applications, process control system tools, and equipment; including maintaining Information Management Systems (IMS); cybersecurity systems, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Information Management Systems (IMS), configuration management, system administration, and technical and programmatic direction for control systems and IMS cyber security, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coordinate, and direct IT/OT staff responsible for operation and maintenance of process computing systems, simulators, LIMS, and process information systems by performing backups, account management, user support, computer security, troubleshooting, and hardware maintenance coordination.

  • Performs career development planning and performance assessments for the department.

  • Responsible for establishing IT/OT program elements, and to maintain the qualification and technical knowledge base of employees.

  • Coordinates group activities so that schedules and objectives of the Engineering and Operations groups are met.

  • Provides IT/OT status information to upper management. Communicates management information to subordinates.

  • Supports and orchestrates the development and maintenance of the Certification and Accreditation package in a DOE cyber security environment.

  • Supports and coordinates piloting new technologies and process improvement initiatives.

  • Interfaces with other software developers and porcess control groups across the Site to transfer technology, where appropriate.

  • Coordinates group activities with DOE, vendors, and external site computing support organizations by attending daily status and planning meetings, maintaining detailed work schedules and budgets, preparing and implementing procurement and task order subcontracts, and performing computer work under rigorous facility design and work control processes.

  • Serves as IT/OT Design Agency for software, process computers and simulator hardware and software and performs engineering reviews of design modifications as requested by the Design Authority.

  • Point of contact interface for the cybersecurity organization.

  • Provides strategic planning related to information technology resources, and otherwise improves safety, quality, discipline of operations, and cost effectiveness.

  • Represents the company on computing issues with DOE, other DOE contractors, site computing groups, and oversight organizations such as the DNFSB, by attending meetings, preparing reports and position papers, making presentations, and reviewing and approving procedures, policies, and other documents.

  • Maintains around-the-clock first-response engineering and technical support for process computer systems, simulators, and process information systems to support facility startup and testing programs as well as provide rapid and effective response to system operating problems in the existing facilities.

  • Initiates, evaluates, and administers task order subcontracts as needed to provide additional process computer support or to obtain special expertise.

  • Establishes and maintains quality assurance, configuration management, and design standards for process computer systems.

  • Provides IT/OT system health and legacy system monitoring.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent field and progressive professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

  • Experience working in a federally regulated environment.

  • Experience working in a U.S. Department of Energy regulated environment.

Minimum Pay

USD $125,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay

USD $220,000.00/Yr.
