Manages the development, deployment, and execution of controls and defenses to ensure the security and risk mitigation of company infrastructure technology, information systems, and digital payment systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Manages team in the day-to-day performance of their jobs and ensures ongoing development of staff knowledge and skills to ensure efficient and effective team operation.

Ensures project/department goals are met and adhere to approved budgets for those projects/goals.

Manages and leads work group meetings, including preparing agendas, prioritizing tasks, and identifying any obstacles that may be present.

Identifies cybersecurity architecture, goals, objectives, and metrics; analyzes business needs and priorities for protecting critical systems.

Establishes and implements operational policies and appropriate standards and criteria for hardware, software, email and web firewall, access verification, and encryption requirements.

Monitors systems for cybersecurity vulnerabilities, threats, and events, oversee incident response planning, and leads vulnerability audits and forensic investigations.

Evaluates potential business impacts from security breaches and provide strategic and tactical guidance to business decision-makers.

Supports the CISO in identifying risks and potential controls for mitigating those risks.

Responds to RFPs and customer assessments in an accurate and timely fashion.

Participates in the organization’s software development lifecycle (SDLC) process to provide insight into mechanisms and solutions for mitigating security risks within customer products.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to help provide support and guidance to the teams related to security initiatives and requirements.

Assist with other projects and initiatives as part of the Compliance team.
Education and Experience
-
An Associate’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field is required. Accredited certification in these areas is an acceptable substitute.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field preferred

3 years Management of team leader experience
-
At least five (5) years’ experience in application security preferably in a software development and/or healthcare environment

Extensive knowledge of information security and department processes.

Two (2) + years’ experience in risk assessment and IT risk management.

Current certification in an industry-recognized information security certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), (CEH), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). If not currently certified, must be eligible for certification and obtain the certificate within one year of the hire date.

Knowledge of the SDLC, penetration testing, static and dynamic code analysis helpful

Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements helpful
