Winnipeg, ManitobaThe Manitoba Heavy Construction Association (MHCA) is recruiting a Manager of Finance & Human Resources (HR) (‘the Manager’) to join the team. The Manager plays a pivotal role in the organization by overseeing budgeting, financial accountability, payroll, HR and supports Board governance. Working closely with and reporting through the President & CEO to the MHCA Executive Committee and Board of Directors, this position influences all aspects of the MHCA organization. Those include its programs and affiliations: MHCA WORKSAFELY® Program; Manitoba Heavy Construction Vocational Training Academy (MHCTA), SAFE Roads Committee; and the Western Canada Roadbuilders & Heavy Construction Association (WCR&HCA). As keeper of financial and HR records and corporate secretary responsibilities, the Manager provides trusted critical advice and support to all MHCA areas of engagement.The Manager of Finance & Administration is responsible For:

About the Manitoba Heavy Construction Association (MHCA)The MHCA is a prominent membership-based advocate for the heavy construction & related industries in Manitoba representing in excess of 400 contractors, suppliers and financial companies.
Founded in 1943, the MHCA advances progressive public policies and innovative programs, in a manner consistent with the broad public best interest.
The MHCA serves as the primary ‘go to’ resource for the heavy construction & related industries for information, networking, public policy advocacy and member services.
It promotes sustainable investment in core infrastructure – streets, highways, bridges, water/wastewater systems, active transportation, water-control structures, trade gateways & corridors – to support economic growth and social development benefiting our province and country.
MHCA champions workplace safety education & training through its leading-edge WORKSAFELY® program established in 1990.
It is an active participant in local, provincial, regional and national advocacy groups. It collaborates extensively with public and private-sector stakeholders to advance common core values including economic growth, diversity and safe work, benefiting our communities, province and country.
