<div class="isg-job-description“>The Manager of Government Accounting and Compliance is responsible for the strategy and execution of compliant cost accounting practices and government rates in accordance with U.S. Government regulations. This position includes regular interface internally as well as direct interaction with government oversight agency representatives. The finance team works in a dynamic environment and partners with Program and Operations to support company strategies, maximize cost recovery, and demonstrate a commitment to compliance.
The successful Manager of Government Accounting and Compliance possesses excellent financial analysis and cost accounting experience and knowledge. Along with technical expertise, the successful candidate is a self-starter who displays strong leadership, critical thinking, business acumen, and effective communication. Additionally, this leader demonstrates an understanding of relevant Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) cost principles.
What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead annual budget process.
• Prepare, submit, and support Provisional Rate Submissions.
• Prepare rate-related analyses and disclosures to support TINA compliance.
• Prepare, submit, and support incurred cost claims including settlement of final rates.
• Ensure appropriate cost recovery while maintaining compliance with company policies and Federal Acquisition Regulation.
• Maintain government accounting framework, including translating from performance accounting to government cost accounting.
• Interface with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) as required on topics related to forward pricing rates, billing rates, incurred cost proposals, and related audits.
• Support government accounting aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, internal reorganizations, and other company initiatives.
• Support pricing, proposals, and financial modeling for new or follow-on program work, helping teams Design with Purpose from proposal through execution.
• Prepare and present monthly financial reviews to the leadership team, translating data into clear insights that support confident action.
• Partner with Program Managers and Program Finance to ensure accurate program financials, including detailed program budgets, revenue, cash flow, forecasts, cost tracking, and variance analysis, enabling programs to Deploy Faster through clear and timely financial visibility.
• Drive continuous improvement in program financial processes, tools, and reporting to streamline execution and improve decision-making.
• Other duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 8+ years of experience Government accounting contracting experience.
• Experience working in a government business environment in a financial role that includes familiarity with relevant Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) cost principles.
• Knowledge of DCAA/DCMA charters and procedures.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams, including Program Management and Program Finance.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools .
• Experience working with Deltek CostPoint.
• Advanced Excel skills; ability to analyze and clearly communicate financial data.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Familiarity with EVM, cost-type contracts, or percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Must be able to qualify for and maintain at least a Secret Security Clearance.
