Job Summary:

Our Private Markets Consulting team works with clients & PwC counterparts around the globe to provide industry-leading advice to firms across the asset management sector. We are looking for a Manager to support the delivery of projects that assist our clients in achieving operational excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to analyse, design, recommend and implement solutions for a broad range of industry participants across the asset management industry, but with a focus on Private Markets managers, including:

  • Front to back business transformation deploying market leading vendor solutions that drive efficiency and scalability.
  • Operating model design and implementation.
  • Technology change programmes, including application and technical architecture review and simplification.
  • Data and analytics integration.
  • Researching and understanding emerging digital trends across Private Markets and financial services as a whole.

Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Managing project delivery teams and ownership of delivery timelines.
  • Coaching and supporting junior team members.
  • Overall responsibility for client project deliverables and creation of proposal documents.
  • Ensuring the team & your assigned projects are in compliance with PwC policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Building and developing relationships with our key Private Markets clients.
  • Maintaining a leading-edge knowledge of industry trends.
  • Supporting the expansion of our Private Markets Consulting team and working closely with team Directors & PwC Channel Islands’ Advisory leadership team.

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • ACA/ACCA/CFA/CAIA desired but not essential.
  • University degree (Upper Second Class) desired but not essential.

Skills & Experience Required:

Essential skills:

  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience working within financial services.
  • At least 3 years of experience delivering professional consulting services.
  • Proven managerial experience with a key focus on project management and staff development/coaching.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Private Markets industry across its key asset classes (Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate, and Infrastructure).
  • Proven understanding of fund finance activities and fund operations (for example fund accounting, investment valuation, portfolio monitoring, carried interest).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team of advisors focusing on projects/programmes for Private Markets clients.
  • Experience in leading a team, delivering projects to tight deadlines, and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • A strong track record of leading business development initiatives and client relationship management.
  • Deep understanding of the Channel Islands financial services industry.

Desirable skills:

  • An interest in technology and process automation with a particular focus on industry technologies such as eFront, iLEVEL, Dynamo, Chronograph, Investran, and DealCloud as well as industry agnostic tools such as PowerApps, Appian, and Alteryx.
  • Experience in system implementations at financial institutions
  • Data analytics and visualisation experience (e.g. Power BI/Tableau)
  • Other industry recognised qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Lean Six Sigma
  • Excellent understanding of Private Markets trends

Travel requirements:

Travel may be required to visit client sites as part of day-to-day project delivery.
