The BAE Systems Combat Mission Systems site in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a Manager: Receiving Inspection.

In this role as the Manager supporting Receiving Inspection, you will:

• Monitor and manage all day to day operations for the Receiving Inspection department;
• Oversee both bargaining unit/union-represented and salaried staff direct reports;
• Develop, modify, and maintain quality evaluations, control systems, and protocols for processing incoming material through inspection;
• Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the product being delivered;
• Monitor and meet quality and production metrics;
• Lead the team in creating a safe and productive environment.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Typically requires a bachelors and six years related experience, or the overall equivalent;
• Experience in a leadership, mentoring, and/or training role;
• Supervisor experience overseeing a receiving inspection department;
• Familiarity with basic measuring equipment;
• Ability to comprehend engineering drawings/military specifications;
• Self-motivation with the ability to motivate others;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Computer skills to include MS Office Suite;
• Skilled in TipQA applications;
• Knowledge of precision measuring equipment and applications (Wide Area CMM).

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Background in a defense industry;
• Prior exposure to a union environment;
• Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing;Experience with Oracle/TipQA;
• Understanding of GD&T;
• Knowledgeable with advanced measuring equipment.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 – $178931

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
