About The Role

This is a unique opportunity to be in the center of supporting the significant growth and transformation of the Financial Services (FS) practice within the Forensic and Litigation Consulting (FLC) segment of FTI.

FS has built a strong reputation for delivering regulatory issue response and remediation consulting services, and is looking for top performers at various levels to join the team. The FS Strategy & Operations team directly supports the FS Product Leader and the FS practice leadership team on a number of strategic and change initiatives across the practice, particularly in the development & maintenance of the infrastructure, tools & systems needed to scale the business & sustain growth, consistency & quality, including:

  • Defining the practice-wide strategy across the portfolio of FS services
  • Identifying and driving organic growth opportunities within the FS practice and across FTI segments
  • Supporting business development activity
  • Instilling world-class client service and marketing capabilities

You will be part of a team that is focused on helping FS with its most pressing revenue and business process challenges, and you will play a critical role in enabling a rapid, strategically important scale-up of the business at a pivotal point in its growth trajectory.

What You’ll Do

  • Function as a Team Leader leading project teams through various engagements
  • Apply the discipline, methodologies and frameworks of targeting operating model, business process reengineering and infrastructure rationalization to strategy, design and operational improvement initiatives
  • Work cross functionally across marketing, sales, service and finance to deliver improvement to FS’s strategic planning & sales enablement operational infrastructure
  • Ably manage projects from beginning to end with minimal supervision; take responsibility for initiatives within the FS practice
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues providing clear and helpful on-the-job feedback and supporting a 360-feedback process enabling other members of the team to maximize individual and team potential
  • Proactively lead the development of solutions to problems through management consultations, data analysis, team meetings, and other applicable strategies
  • Manage and conduct objective research on current market trends, client competitors, project/staff management, financial performance, key operating indicators, and other related topics to support critical analyses
  • Clearly summarize gathered data and facts, confidently communicate/present findings to members of senior management as needed, develop action plans with clear accountability, and PMO change efforts to improve the business
  • Write in compelling ways in both vertical and horizontal written formats; be creative in conveying ideas and data on the page
  • Have a high tolerance for ambiguity; deal well with unexpected or adverse situations
  • Strive for high-quality deliverables; drive projects to achieve maximum impact for the team and the firm
  • Understand how his/her own work fits into the broader business context

What You Will Need To Succeed 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of relevant post-graduate experience
  • 2+ experience in consulting or a professional services environment
  • Strong quantitative skills to supervise data analysis, interpret output and generate insights
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas
  • Ability to travel to FTI office(s) as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree, e.g. MBA
  • 5+ experience in consulting or a professional services environment
  • Prior experience managing business strategy projects in complex environments
  • Ability to make detailed assessments of industry, products, markets, competitors and customers to identify risks and opportunities
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as ThinkCell and Tableau or related programs
  • Experience with project planning and project management tools such as SmartSheet or Asana
