In the role of Marketing Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal part within the Insurance Customer Communications team. Your mission will be to craft, enhance, and sustain our comprehensive range of customer communications. This encompasses the entire spectrum of the customer journey, from initial quote emails and welcoming materials to renewal notices and beyond, spanning both digital and physical mediums.

Your responsibilities will include the creation, endorsement, and examination of customer communication changes that are compliant and effective. These changes aim to boost performance, enrich customer experiences, streamline new initiatives, and minimise operational burdens. You’ll ensure that these modifications are executed flawlessly, adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.

Additionally, you’ll contribute to our platform migration efforts, guaranteeing a seamless integration of our communication tools into the new Policy Administration System, aligning with business needs. As we explore new ventures like Van Insurance, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with innovative projects and deliverables.

What will I be doing?

Communication Change Management

  • Assists the Customer Communication Manager and team in implementing a range of communication changes, from minor adjustments to the introduction of new communication suites.

Multichannel Communication Oversight

  • Manages various communication channels such as print, email, and SMS, along with creative materials like policy booklets and envelopes, ensuring consistency with brand voice and tone.

Change Implementation and Testing

  • Collaborates with internal teams to understand requirements, drafts changes, secures marketing approvals, coordinates with IT for implementation, and oversees testing matrices to validate changes.

Quality Assurance and Release Management

  • Conducts post-implementation reviews to confirm that all customer communications perform as intended, maintaining high standards and contributing to an optimised customer journey.

Defect Management

  • Engages in identifying, tracking, and resolving communication defects within the Aurora programme, ensuring timely delivery and resolution.

Business Requirement Analysis

  • Breaks down new business requirements such as regulations, propositions, and campaigns, ensuring that communications align with these requirements and support optimal customer outcomes.

Proactive Opportunity Identification

  • Actively seeks out new opportunities and spearheads initiatives to improve customer experience and drive their own change plan.

Customer Advocacy

  • Embraces the role of a Customer Champion, prioritising clear, fair, and non-misleading communications, and addressing issues with a focus on consumer understanding and duty.

Incident Management and Support

  • Participates in issue resolution and supports corrective actions, maintaining communication clarity and fairness.

Administrative Support

  • Handles administrative duties including processing purchase orders and invoices, managing the ‘Change’ inbox, and supporting peer reviews to achieve a ‘perfect first time’ delivery record.

What do I need?

Experience in a Similar Role within Marketing

  • Proven experience within a similar role in a marketing environment.

Insurance Product Knowledge

  • Sharp knowledge of existing and new world home and motor insurance products.

Understanding of Echelon

  • Sound understanding of Echelon.

Attention to Detail

  • Strong attention to detail and a natural ability to complete tasks accurately and to a high standard.

Logical Thinking

  • Supports understanding of customer communication composition and the effective use of fixed and variable logic within a single communications template.

Independent Work Capability

  • Ability to work independently across a variety of projects and workstreams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Organisational Skills

  • Excellent organisational skills, capable of handling multiple diverse tasks simultaneously.

Written Communication

  • Fantastic written communication skills with a natural flair for copywriting.

Stakeholder Management

  • Experience in stakeholder management and the ability to drive delivery in a collaborative manner.

Microsoft Office Proficiency

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
