Job Title: Material Coordinator

Job Description

As a Lead Materials Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the engine repair and overhaul process. Your primary responsibility will be the procurement of new and serviceable turbine engine materials, some outside vendor repair services, and oversight of inventory for issuance and oversight. You may also be required at times to step in and help in the shipping and receiving area as parts and engines arrive and leave. You will also lead our small, dedicated team of aviation materials professionals to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Procure aviation new and serviceable materials and process outside vendor repair services.

  • Control inventory levels to fulfill current and future requirements.

  • Recognize disruptions in the supply chain and seek alternative options where possible.

  • Ensure the continuous supply of materials to one or more assembly areas.

  • Manage parts requiring repair from the production floor, issuing them to various vendors, and overseeing their processing and timely return.

  • Maintain and build vendor relationships; collaborate with vendors and parts coordinators on incoming materials and requests.

  • Maintain and review records of inventories, deliveries, costs, and items purchased.

  • Investigate and resolve issues with problematic inventory transactions or discrepancies.

  • Document and participate in process improvements.

Essential Skills

  • At least 5 years related experience in the Aviation Industry.

  • Familiarity with MRO supply chain and inventory management systems.

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.

  • Experience in forecasting and managing inventory.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English.

  • Strong initiative, work ethic, and ownership.

  • Strong ability to effectively prioritize tasks, attention to detail.

  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of Quantum Control ERP.

  • Valid AZ state driver’s license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

Work Environment

Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching up to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 30 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Equipment Operated: Forklift, pallet jack, various movable carts and racks, keyboard. Work Location: Mesa, AZ facility. Protective Equipment Required: Gloves, eye protection, hearing protection as required. Potential Hazards: Exposure to materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets. Shift: M-F 7am – 3:30pm. Overtime: Possible but not guaranteed, may be needed in the future. Contract Details: Contract to hire, generally hired directly around 4 months but exact timeline dictated by attitude and performance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 – $35.00/hr.
