Job Description:

Central State Hospital is seeking a full-time nurse for day shift for the med clinic.

Monday-Friday typically 8am-4:30pm, but hours could vary based on hospital need.

Essential Job Functions:

• Demonstrate knowledge and Application of the nursing process throughout the patients hospitalization, from admission to discharge, consistent with the patients age, gender and cultural specific needs.

• Complete documentation and assignments within established time frames.

• Assists the Primary Care Provider in med Clinic, schedules appointments and arranges transportation to appointments.

• Performs EKG’s.

• Provides back-up to Ancillary Services Department for Infection Prevention.

• Employee Health and UR.

• Available to work on the patient care units as needed.

Required:

• Valid KY Nursing License

• Valid Driver’s License
