The MA will provide patient focused rooming for all types of clinic visits, communicate results and other pertinent medical information to patients and providers, and assist in assuring the day-to-day activities of the clinic are completed timely and efficiently. Duties may include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, medication refills, prior authorizations, phone calls, assisting with in-office procedures, collaborating with on-site X-ray, and on-site or nearby pharmacy and laboratory services.

Schedule:

• 64 hours every two weeks.
• Variable weekday shifts from 7:15 a.m. to 5 p.m., occasional Saturday morning, typically about 1 out of 8 Saturday mornings.

Pay and Benefits:

• Pay range $17.95 to $26.94 per hour; exact pay determined by years of experience.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with one of the following:
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
  • National Association for Health Professionals, Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
  • Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
    • Must provide proof of pass notification prior to start with verification of official certification or registration within 3 months of exam date.

Additional Requirements:

• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy.
• Ability to understand patients’ medical records, physician orders and medication orders to be communicated to the patient and staff.

To be eligible for the hiring bonus you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full time or part time benefited position. Previous employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire.

Relocation assistance requirements: Must accept a position that offers benefits and may not have worked for CentraCare in the last 9 months. Must currently reside more than 50 miles from primary work location and relocate to within 30 miles within 120 days.
