Medical Receptionist

Description:We are looking for a full-time (37.5 hours) receptionist to join our team working Monday – Friday between our two practices.The ideal candidate will have experience in an administrative role, preferably within General Practice or NHS Community setting. A working knowledge of Vision and Docman would be advantageous however full training will be given.As the first point of contact for patients this role requires someone who is confident dealing with the public and possesses excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and competent IT skills. You must also be highly motivated, enthusiastic and able to prioritise your workload. Duties include dealing carefully and sensitively with patients at Reception and on the phone, making appointments, result handling, dealing with general enquiries, processing repeat prescription requests, scanning clinical correspondence, dealing with delegated tasks from clinical staff and general administration. You will be supported in your role by our reception supervisor and practice manager.The Almond Group Practice serves more than 10,000 patients in our practices in Kirkliston and Winchburgh. Both practices are purpose built health centres with modern consulting rooms and staff rooms and benefit from easy parking and are within walking distance of a variety of shops. We are a friendly practice with a hard working sociable team.Our clinical staff includes five salaried GPs, two ANPs, a practice nurse, a phlebotomist and a team of AHPs provided by the health board including a pharmacy team and mental health nurse. We are a training practice and benefit from GPSTs and FY2s.Salary offered is currently £12.00 – £12.33 per hour dependent on experience and the post-holder will be entitled to join the SPPA pension scheme.Please send CV and covering letter to Ann Temperly Reception Supervisor on the email shown.
