We are seeking to appoint a Medical Secretaries for the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department in Care Group 3 for 24 hours per week.We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to join our Obs & Gynae secretarial team. Candidates should possess a professional attitude to their work and have the ability to work flexibly in an extremely busy and rapidly changing environment. You must be fully IT literate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge and experience of Meditech/T-Pro is desirable as is previous NHS experience.Main duties of the job

• The production of patient/client information re letters via audio typing to assist Health Care Professionals in the day to day management of patient care.
• Working to tight deadlines in a fast paced working environment.
• Communicating well with staff of all grades and disciplines.
• To accurately record and complete patient information maintaining confidentiality at all times.
• Taking minutes and preparing agendas as required.
• Undertaking audio transcription, including medical terminology.
• Liaising between Trust staff and outside agencies as required
• Utilising IT skills
• Receiving and dealing with telephone calls and e-mails in a timely and professional manner.

• 3 GCSEs grade C/4 or equivalent education to include English language

• Audio typing – previous experience and / or qualification

• Previous office experience within a healthcare environment
• Experience of working within another large organisation
