A fantastic school in Woodley has an opportunity for a recent graduate to join their team in a Mental Health Assistant role. The school cater to students with complex needs, learning disabilities as well as social, emotional and mental health needs. As a Mental Health Assistant, the candidate would be responsible for providing students with 1-1 support and attention throughout the school day. The candidate would be encouraging students to maintain focus and work towards achieving independence and life skills. The school are looking for a graduate to join their team and work alongside the support staff and on-site professionals. As a Mental Health Assistant you will develop an understanding regarding additional needs and how to support children facing challenges while in education.The Mental Health Assistant role is a crucial position within the school, so they are looking for a candidate who can work under their own initiative, have emotional intelligence and a genuine interest in seeing the pupils succeed. The Mental Health Assistant will be working with a small group of students alongside a specialist SEN Teacher and a second Mental Health Assistant.
