We believe that everyone should be treated with respect and dignity – and that’s why equity is one of our core values.Devon Supported Housing Overview:Devon Supported Housing, funded by Devon Partnership Trust, provides individualised housing-related support to individuals with medium to high support needs transitioning from hospital or residential settings. We work closely with service users to ensure they receive the highest quality of support that fits their needs. Our “Recovery” model promotes self-management and personal control over their recovery journey.How I Will Make a Difference:

  • Provide one-on-one key worker support, coordinating with mental health agencies on behalf of service users.
  • Focus on the service user’s needs, employing communication, motivation, and coaching to help them achieve their goals.
  • Build respectful, honest relationships within professional boundaries, adhering to the Rethink Mental Illness Code of Conduct.
  • Encourage service users to explore local services and facilitate access to alternative services when needed.
  • Support service users in achieving their goals through familiarity with their individual Care/Recovery Plans.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Transferable life/work experience relevant to this role.
  • Strong listening, empathy, understanding, kindness, patience, and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Charity’s values.
  • Experience in supporting people with mental illness or in a similar social care setting, either in a paid or voluntary capacity.
