We are seeking a skilled MHE Trainer to join our logistics team within the transport and distribution industry in Runcorn. Your role will involve delivering effective training and ensuring compliance with operational standards for material handling equipment.

  • Deliver training sessions for material handling equipment (MHE) in line with company standards and legal regulations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of trainees during practical and theoretical sessions.
  • Ensure all training materials and records are maintained to a high standard.
  • Conduct regular assessments to ensure operational compliance and safety requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to identify training needs and develop tailored programmes.
  • Provide feedback and support to trainees to enhance their skills and confidence.
  • Investigate and report any training-related incidents or areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of training processes and methodologies.

  • Certifications or accreditations relevant to material handling equipment training.
  • Previous experience in a training or instructional role within logistics or transport and distribution.
  • You will currently hold or be willing to train to RTITB / ITSAAR
  • Competent user of FLT (min 1 year)
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations related to MHE operations.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to adapt training delivery to suit various learning styles and needs.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
