Mobility Specialist – 10 – 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Team/Role Overview:

The Global Mobility Senior Analyst is a professional role. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires sound understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritise and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. This role provides essential operational support as part of the Mobility & Immigration team, assisting with facilitation of smooth and efficient international assignments and relocations for employees. This role involves supporting the objectives of the global team and Citi’s employees with various logistical and administrative tasks connected with their international transfers, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

What you’ll do:

• Provides high quality and efficient support to Mobility & Immigration team and employees and business managers as required.
• Build relationships with Mobility & Immigration colleagues globally, to ensure seamless mobility support is provided to customers.
• Advises and supports Managers, HR and employees on all aspects of mobility program usage (Expatriate, Local-to-Local and Short-term assignments, as well as any rotational programs).
• Exposure to a broad range of mobility topics such as payroll, benefits, taxes, immigration and relocation.
• Prepares cost projections/relocation estimates for HR for review and approval. Oversight of various services as part of mobility program delivery may include but not limited to: securing visas/work permits, finding a home, school enrolment requirements, destination services and relocation (dependent on package entitlements).
• Conducts employee briefing sessions to review allowances and other benefits of their mobility program and other details specific to the location.
• Prepare assignment documentation such as Expatriate/Short term assignment (STA) Assignment Letters and Compensation Summaries.
• Ensures Expatriate records are processed to Expatriate Payroll in a timely manner following Citi’s process and using Global Mobility’s systems.
• Acts as the primary contact for Expatriate employees for on-going support throughout their assignment.
• Responsible for coordinating with external provider the Relocation support at the start and during short term assignments.
• Is available to answer questions on an “as needed” basis and delivers subject matter expertise on all mobility policies.
• Maintains all required records, including the Expatriate Payroll with any changes to an Expatriate’s record.
• Monitors the performance of mobility vendors/service providers.
• Partners with HR partners on end of expatriate assignment responsibilities, including localisation, termination, and repatriation.
• Support other team members with pre-assignment, during-assignment, and post-assignment administrative tasks in connection with an international transfer, and as required.
• Provide support with invoice processing and tracking of allowances and benefits as required.
• Maintain and update employee records and mobility data in relevant systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Mobility & Immigration Senior team.
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Acts as subject matter expert (SME) to stakeholders, partners and /or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

What we’ll need from you:

• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience.
• Administrative and/or Team support experience, preferably within a Human Resources, Global Mobility or International Business environment.
