• Create detailed reports on modelling processes, findings, and recommendations to inform engineering decisions.
• Offer valuable insights from simulations to optimize engine designs for improved heat and noise management.
• Develop detailed zero-dimensional performance simulation models for internal combustion engines (piston and not gas turbine engines).
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and engine performance modelling.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to develop, verify, validate, maintain, and optimize complex software systems.
• Ensure that all research activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, including health, safety, and ethical guidelines.

QualificationsExperience, skills and qualifications required:

• Minimum of a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and engine performance modelling.
• Proficiency in advanced engine performance simulation software and tools.
• Expertise in backend languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB.
• Proven experience with MATLAB/Simulink modelling and simulation.
• Ability to conduct analysis for internal combustion engines and translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Proven track record in conducting high-quality research.
• Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
• Ability to propose different solution alternatives to a problem.
• A drive to learn and master new programming languages, multi-disciplinary methods, technologies, and techniques.
