About the Job

We are seeking a motivated individual to join the Minnesota Center for Prion Research & Outreach (MNPRO) for a temporary research appointment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist with nanopore sequencing experiments
  • Curate molecular data within lab and MSI servers
  • Help write and/or submit peer-reviewed publications
  • Prepare and submit sequence data to NCBI.

This role is designed for a researcher with demonstrated experience in nanopore sequencing and bioinformatics, direct experience submitting sequence data to NCBI, and prior experience working within a BSL2 molecular lab.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in molecular biology or related field
  • Leading author or co-author of a minimum of 5 peer-reviewed publications
  • Experience with nanopore sequencing and bioinformatics
  • Experience submitting sequence data to NCBI
  • Experience working within a BSL2 molecular lab

Pay and Benefits

Pay Rate: $34.70/hr
