Hiring Document Scanners ASAP!!
The Document Scanner is responsible for efficiently and accurately scanning mortgage-related documents. This role is critical to our document management process, ensuring that all physical documents are digitized and stored correctly for easy access by our processing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Document Scanning: Operate high-speed scanning equipment to digitize mortgage documents, ensuring that all documents are scanned with clear resolution and accuracy.
Quality Control: Review scanned documents to verify that all pages are captured correctly and that there are no missing, misaligned, or unreadable pages.
Organize Scanned Files: Label and organize scanned files systematically for easy retrieval in the company’s document management system.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on scanning equipment to ensure it operates efficiently, including cleaning and troubleshooting minor issues.
File Preparation: Prepare documents for scanning by removing staples, paper clips, and ensuring pages are properly aligned.
Record Keeping: Maintain logs of scanned documents, including tracking volumes and noting any issues encountered during the scanning process.
Compliance: Ensure all scanning processes adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and data protection standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with the document management and processing teams to prioritize scanning tasks and ensure timely completion.
Requirements
Experience: Previous experience in a document scanning role, preferably in the mortgage or financial services industry.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when handling large volumes of documents.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating high-speed scanning equipment and using document management software.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle large volumes of documents efficiently.
Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a high-volume environment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to handle repetitive tasks, lift and move document boxes, and sit or stand for extended periods.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
