The sheer volume of cases, and the constant possibility of major costs and resources being involved, can impact seriously on the operational performance of any of the parties involved.What is needed most in this situation is a service that can help process cases with maximum speed and efficiency and achieve the most satisfactory settlements possible. Weightmans’ Motor team is a market leader in this field offering a full service with dedicated teams dealing with fast track, multi track, fraud, credit hire, indemnity issues and representation at inquests and criminal prosecutions.We are currently recruiting for an Associate to join our team in Liverpool to manage a caseload of fraud cases.Main duties and responsibilities

• Manage caseload of motor fraud files effectively and efficiently
• Carry out initial investigations and reporting to clients / preparing internal strategy reports as appropriate
• Handle cases to conclusion including instructing investigators, posing Part 35 questions, instructing Counsel and making Part 36 offers;
• Complete client and firm MI procedures
• Comply with client SLAs, e-manual and local claims handling requirements
• Achieve set chargeable hours and financial targets
• Comply with Data Protection Procedures
• Comply with relevant Weightmans and client policies and procedures
• Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values
• Achieve set financial and chargeable targets / KPIs

• Experience of handling a case load of litigated motor fraud files, preferably as a Defendant
• Credit hire experience
• Knowledge of CPR
• Ability to work to meet deadlines and hit targets
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• Excellent communication skills
